HOT TAKE: The Sunset Strip Died and Nobody Had the Guts to Say It 🪦

Reddit threads are FULL of tourists asking “where should I go on Sunset?” and locals are too polite to say: nowhere.¹ The iconic strip that gave us rock legends and scandalous celebrity nights has been replaced by overpriced bottle service, influencer-bait décor, and bouncers with god complexes. The real action moved to Selma & Cahuenga in Hollywood and Downtown LA years ago.⁴ If you’re still planning your night around Sunset Blvd, you’re living in 2015. Wake up. The Strip is a tourist trap wearing vintage sunglasses.
